After the success of our inaugural 2022 program PAST IS PROLOGUE, we are delighted to continue our partnership with Cole Harrell to present PAST IS PROLOGUE II, a continued dialogue between classical African sculpture and contemporary works by today's leading African artists. We are proud to be premiering new works by painters Beatrice Wanjiku and Marc Standing, as well as several fresh-to-market classical objects, including an important Songye Nkisi community power figure (never before seen and carbon dated to the late 18th century) and a beautiful Byeri head from the Fang culture of Gabon.
